Eva Wiener, age 91, of Burt, Iowa, died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Westview Care Center in Britt. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burt, with Rev. Jason Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Visitation will be 9:30 am until service time Monday at the church.

Eva Elizabeth Copeland, the daughter of John and Louise (Baker) Copeland, was born on July 3, 1919 in Britt, Iowa. On March 10, 1944 Eva was united in marriage with Paul Jahnke in Klemme, Iowa. She later married Jerry Wiener on June 2, 1972 in Garner, Iowa. Eva had cooked and cleaned at Exceptional Opportunities in Burt. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burt. Eva enjoyed flowers, gardening, playing cards and helping her neighbors.

Left to cherish Eva’s memory is a son, Curt Jahnke of Meservey; a daughter-in-law Dorothy Jahnke of Burt; two step daughters, Barb Harms from Burt and Carol Rudig of Grants Pass, Oregon; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and one step great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, Alan Jahnke; a grandson Andrew Jahnke; a step daughter, Rosanne Ulses; and a brother, Elmer Thompson.
