BRITT, IA — Verna M. Meyer, 72, died Tuesday (Dec. 8, 1998) at the Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Corwith, with the Rev. Caroline Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Verna M. Meyer was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Wessington Springs, S.D. Survivors include her husband, Frank Meyer of Britt; four daughters, Cindy VanDusseldorp of Britt, Melinda Wickert of Granada, Minn., Dawn Gray of Ames, and Sandy Smidt of Kanawha; one son, Dave Meyer of Britt; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
