January 10, 1966 -- November 2, 2004

In Loving memory of Daniel Richard “Hoss” Tebben, age 38, of Wall Lake, Iowa, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a friend to everyone who knew him, died of a heart attack after four years of treatment for heart disease. For those of us who loved him, did so because only he could touch a life as he could. I have lost my friend, my lover, and life’s companion. His children and grandchildren who he loved unconditionally will forever love their “Dad” and “PaPa”. As his friends, I know he would only want you to love your memories of him.

Daniel was born January 10, 1966, in Britt, Iowa, the son of Richard and Arlene (Gossman) Tebben. They made their home in Carnarvon, Iowa and Dan attended and graduated from Wall Lake High School in 1984. Dan was a truck driver for many years but came off the road when he was united in marriage to Stephanie Lyn Clemens on November 8, 1997, at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake. His dream had come true; He became what he always wanted, “a husband, father, and grandfather”. He was a “Gentle Giant”. At that time he began working for Midwest Industries in Ida Grove, Iowa in the maintenance department. Dan had several interests, including hunting, fishing, ice fishing, Harley’s, and spending time with his wife and children; however one of the most important hobbies were his dogs. He enjoyed taking rides with them, sitting on his lap.

Dan is survived by his wife, Stephanie; mother, Arlene Tebben; three daughters, Shannon Wilkins and her husband Brad of Fort Dodge; Aliss and Elizabeth of Wall Lake; three grandchildren: Carter Lynn, Cailey Danielle, and Carson Bradley (Milo); two dogs (Like children) Samson and Ellie; sister, Anita Nuetzman and her husband Dennis of Story City and their children, David, Patrick, and Erin; He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; Uncle, Lenny Tebben; grandparents Tebben; and his first rotweiler, Andre.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wall Lake with Father John McGuirk officiating. Sue Mein accompanied the St. Joseph’s Choir. The flower committee consists of: Jan Bieret, Mr. & Mrs. Steve Snyder, and Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Paysen. Honorary pallbearers are the following: Dave Farrell, Doug Daily, Tony Potthoff, and Ed Wright. Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Roth, Todd Steinkamp, Tony Stonerook, Dan Roth, Steve Gonnerman, Danny Brotherson, and Craig Pellersels. Graveside services will be held at Corwith Cemetery, in Corwith, Iowa, under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home, at 3:00 p.m., with Father Dan Greving officiating. Visitation is Thursday, November 4th, 4:00-8:00 pm at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake.
