Charles Edward Schulz, 69, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at Research Medical Center. No scheduled funeral services. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64134, or First Baptist Church, 1416 Main St., Grandview, MO 64030. Mr. Schulz was born in Pontiac, IL. He graduated from school in Corwith, IA, and began farming with his father in the early 1960s and farmed for approximately 20 years. He moved in 1989 to Kansas City, where he worked for a paper company in delivering products and attended the First Baptist Church of Grandview. Mr. Schulz was an avid fisherman and card player, was a good pool player, was a great Chiefs fan and liked to garden, raising tomatoes, and was very proud of his grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Schulz, and his parents, Chris and Vivian Schulz. Mr. Schulz is survived by his son: George Schulz, Guttenberg, IA; his brother: Chris A. Schulz, Corwith, IA; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Renelda and Don Riffe, Cordova, TN; Nancy and Len Noack and Mary and Bruce Swenson, all of Scottsdale, AZ; and his grandson: Dustin Schulz, Garner, IA.
