BRITT, IA -- Robert E. Hoover, 85, died Saturday (March 30, 1996) at Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Chapel. Robert E. Hoover was born Feb. 14, 1911 in Alexander. Survivors include his wife, Helen Hoover of Britt; two daughters, Shirley Ryburn of Britt, and Jackie MacVey of Ames; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
