GARNER, IA -- Wayne Schlawin, 80, died Saturday (July 1, 1995) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. John W. Hemann officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner. Wayne August Schlawin was born Aug. 17, 1914 on a farm near Klemme. Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Schlawin and Glenn Schlawin, both of Garner. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother.
