KANAWHA, IA -- Velma Marie Cook, 77, died Tuesday (June 27, 1995) at the Kanawha Community Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David A. Lee officiating. Interment will be in the Amsterdam Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Home, Kanawha and one hour prior to services at the church.
Velma Cook was born Jan. 26, 1918 in Stilson. Survivors include two sisters, Vera Babcock of Corwith, and Verle TerHark of Kanawha; and one brother, Arthur Zeigler of Kanawha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
