GARNER, IA — Silvanus Wacker, 92, of Garner, died Sunday (May 17, 1998) at home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Highway Chapel of the Foursquare Church, Forest City, with the Rev. James C. Haake and the Rev. David Hawbaker, officiating. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Silvanus Paul Wacker was born March 13, 1906 on the home farm southeast of Garner. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wacker, of Garner; 10 children, Anita Wilson, of Goldendale, Wash.; Dan Wacker, of Garner; Joanna Johns, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; Fred Wacker, of Garner; Anna Meyer, of Bloomington, Minn.; Mark Wacker, of Cedar Falls; Paul Wacker, of Ames; Lois Moore, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; Ruth Tagatz, of Stewartville, Minn.; and John Wacker, of Garner; 12 grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Wacker, of Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
