GARNER, IA — Hilary Kenneth Quintin Greimann, 90, died on Wednesday (March 25, 1998) at the Concord Care Center, Garner. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme, with Pastor Georgia White-Kisslring officiating. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday prior to funeral services at the church. Everyone is invited to attend the committal service at the Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Tenold Funeral Home in Klemme.

Hilary Kenneth Quintin Greimann was born on April 27, 1907, to William and Bettie (Schuldt) Greimann on their farm south of Garner, Iowa. He attended rural school in Ell Township and graduated from Klemme High School with the class of 1925. He assisted his father in farming until his marriage to Alice Holck on Jan. 18, 1930, in the Peace Reformed Church parsonage with the Rev. Calvin Schmidt officiating. The young couple started farming on the place across the field from his parents. To this union, two daughters were born, Marilyn Jean and Lois Ann. In 1938, Hilary purchased the Garner Roller Mills and the family moved to Garner. There he continued in the business until his retirement in 1965. In 1984, Hilary moved into Prairie View Apartments, and after several falls left him somewhat disabled, he moved into the Concord Care Center in Garner on July 18, 1986. Hilary was baptized and confirmed in the Peace Reformed Church south of Garner, and at present was a member of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme, where he had at one time taught the adult Sunday school class. He had been a member of the Garner Rotary Club, Garner School Board, was a past president of the Garner Chamber of Commerce, and a chairman of the Billy Sunday Jubilee Committee, as well as participating in many other civic activities.

Survivors include his daughter, Lois Ann Hedquist and her husband, Gerald, of San Jose, Calif.; a granddaughter, Catherine Blecher and her husband, Joseph, of San Jose, Calif.; a grandson, Steven Hedquist and his wife, Kathryn, of Linden, N.J.; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Blecher; three brothers, Lawrence Greiman and his wife, Hazel, of Garner, Iowa, Victor Greiman and his wife, Lois, of Dayton, Ohio, and Earl Greiman and his wife, Alice, of Golden, Colo.; three sisters, Hallie Stromer, of Rapid City, S.D., Esther Fillmore, of Marion, Iowa, and Gladys Alden and her husband, Eldridge, of Garner, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Hilary was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice, in December 1962; a daughter, Marilyn, in July 1981; and a brother, Maurice.
