CURTIS ARNOLD BURIED AT KLEMME

Curtis Carroll Arnold, son of Elmer and Nellie [Lau] Arnold, was born near Klemme, Hancock County, Iowa, on March 25, 1913, and died at the Park Hospital in Mason City, (Iowa) Saturday morning, April 9th, 1921, at the age of eight years and fifteen days. His death was caused by a cerebelli abscess. Curtis was a robust fine fellow. His was of splendid physique; always full of good cheer, kind to his younger brothers; affectionate towards his parents—the sunshine in his home, he had the making of a splendid young man. About a week ago he complained of severe headaches and after consultation with one of the local doctors he was taken to the hospital at Mason City, where everything possible was done to give him relief and save his life; but all efforts proved of no avail. God, the Great Shepard of all life, had planned it differently. On Saturday morning he placed his arms around the neck of his mother and his uncle Dr. Tice (Dr. C B Tice, Amanda’s Arnold’s husband), telling them that he loved them and that they had done so much for him, after which the angel of Death came for him, and took him to his heavenly home. He was highly conscious until death.
