RITES HELD FOR REV. WM. SUCKOW

The Rev. William M. Suckow, minister of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Center Point, and the Alice community, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 1961 in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was born the son of Henry and Taldine Brouwer Suckow on February 13, 1897 at Garner. On June 4, 1919 he was married to Helen Bredlow in Oklahoma. Rev. Suckow had been a minister for 32 years, serving churches in Shueyville, Van Meter, Postville, Moville, Cranston and Russell. Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Dale V. of Hull, Marvin D. of Postville, Luther C. of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Gordon W. of Van Meter; one brother, Louie H. of Mason City; and nine grandchildren. Services were held Monday, October 2, 1961 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Center Point, the Rev. Harry Herlein and the Rev. Hubert Sunderman in charge. Interment was at Klemme.
