James "Jim" Austin, 58, Klemme, died Sept. 30, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City. Services were Oct. 3 at the United Methodist Church in Garner with burial in Concord Township Cemetery, Garner. James, the son of Cecil and Florence (Ward) Austin, was born Feb. 3, 1945 at Mason City. He attended school at Easton, MN and worked as a mechanic in the North Iowa area. On Feb. 21, 1970 he married Joyce Steenblock. They made their home near Klemme.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Tommy and Richard Austin. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Tina (Danny) Miller and their children, Cody, Logan and Kaitlin all of Garner; brothers and sisters, Hazel Raprager of Plymouth, Harvey (Dorothy) Austin of Cartersville, Mildred Brooks of Morris, IL, Lyle (LaDonna) Austin of Kellerton, Ethel (Glen) Endress of Mason City, Deloris Rinnels of Michigan and Thelma (Rick) Beightol of Plymouth.
