Alice J. Schroeder, 81, Klemme, died November 22, 2002, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Services were held November 26 at the United Methodist Church in Klemme. Interment was in Concord Township Cemetery near Garner. Alice Josephine Schroeder, the daughter of Ben and Carrie (Anderson) Hall, was born November 22, 1921 on a farm near Miller. She attended school at Miller and Garner. On February 20, 1948 she married Clarence Schroeder at Ellingston Prairie Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Miller, Clear Lake and Hutchins until 1956, when they moved to California. In 1996, they returned to Iowa and made their home in Klemme. Alice is survived by her husband, Clarence of Klemme; three children, Darlene Schroeder of Klemme, Charlene Miller of Denver, CO, and Hans (Sandy) Schroder of Des Moines; six grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Curtis) Greimann of Garner, Anna Mae (Curtis) Upmeyer of Garner; and a brother, Orville "Bud" (Josephine "Jo") Hall of Garner.
