KLEMME, IA - Harry Edward Hayner, 79, of Klemme, passed away on Monday (July 13, 2009) at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City after battling cancer. Harry grew up in the Cody, Wyoming, area and did various jobs. He worked for Winnebago Industries for the last 17 years. He loved to fish, read, and hunt. He also loved being with his family.

Surviving Harry are his wife Arlene, Klemme; children, Mark (Marie) Hayner, Forest City, Melanie (David) Perry, Ankeny, Kristie Hayner, Klemme, and Kim (Jon) Jensen, Charles City; two grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan, Ankeny; one brother, Frank (Barbara) Hayner, Cody, Wyo.; and three sisters, Harriet Humphrey and Caroline (Dwight) Trumbell, all of Cody Wyo., and Katie (Jerry) Kuchera, Farmington, N.M. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Edward Hayner and Virginia (Tayler) Hayner. Also by his first wife, Shirley (Whitney) Hayner; and brothers, Glen and Gordon Hayner; and one brother-in-law, Dale Humphrey.

Harry's wishes were to be cremated. Harry also wished for no formal services, but because his love of fishing, the family has decided to have a "Fish in Memory of Harry" event. They invite everyone to meet at Eldred Sherwood Park Shelter (Indian Lake) located east of Goodell, Iowa, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009. They would love to have people come and visit and bring your fishing pole if you wish. Food, refreshments, and worms will be provided. Special thanks has been extended by the family to Hospice of North Iowa. Andrews Funeral Home, Klemme.
