11/07/1995KANAWHA, IA -- Raul Hernandez, 47, of Kanawha, formerly of Mason City, died Monday (Nov. 6, 1995) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cataldo Funeral Home, Britt, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cataldo Funeral Home, Britt, with a 7:30 p.m. Scriptural wake service. Raul Hernandez was born Dec. 15, 1947, at Corpus Christi, Texas. Survivors include his children, Raul Hernandez Jr. of Kingsville, Texas; Gary Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Joel Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Richard Hernandez of Mason City; Manuel Hernandez of Mason City; Michael Hernandez of Mason City; Brenda Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Sandra Hernandez of Colorado and Christi Hernandez of Mason City; nine grandchildren; eight brothers, Lupe Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Ruben Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Oscar Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Andrew Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas; Robert Hernandez of Britt; Juan Hernandez of Britt; Joe Hernandez of Mason City, and Rene Hernandez of Kanawha; four sisters, Manuelita Esquivel of Branson, Mo.; Dora Quintanilla of Britt; Margarita Hernandez of Kanawha, and Minnie Mendoza of Kanawha. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
