Mr. and Mrs. Brown came to Iowa in 1914 and lived near Eagle Grove for one year. They then moved to the Hoaglund place south of Corwith and have been residents of the Corwith Community ever since. . Mrs. Brown gave freely of her services to the church. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid and the Missionary Societies and was a steward of the church. Her girl hood experience, her mother passing away when she was a girl and she having the responsibility for caring for her younger brothers and sisters, made her response to the needs of the neighbors and friends. She was ever ready to help those who were sick and in trouble. The past 3 years Mrs. Brown had been invalided by sickness and under the pastorate of Rev. E. T. suffered a stroke last year. Increasing disability was her lot which she suffered with a beautiful faith and spirit. Her last years have been lengthened by the constant and loving care of her husband.
