Magor Woman Died at Home of Daughter
Mrs. Fred KIRCHGATTER Buried at Magor Township Cemetery Saturday Afternoon.

Mrs. Fred KIRCHGATTER, well known in the Corwith locality, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. KRAMER, on N. Main St., in Britt, Wednesday evening, June 5, at 10 o'clock. Her illness that ultimately caused her death dates back for a number of years. For the past eight months, she has been bedfast and cared for at the home of her daughter.

Martha Katherine SCHEFFELMAN was born a daughter to Rev. H. SCHEFFELMAN at Baraboo, Wisconsin on Feb. 18, 1880. At death she had attained the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 17 days. As a infant she was baptized by her father in the name of the Triune God. At the age of 14 she was confirmed at the Lutheran church at Rock township by Pastor Westenburg. Deceased has lived near Corwith since 1895, accompanying her parents at the time the father went there to serve as pastor of the Renwick Corwith Lutheran parish. On March 10, 1898 she entered the state of holy matrimony with Fred KIRCHGATTER. The couple took up farming as their occupation. To this union were born four children, one having died in infancy. Surviving the death of this good woman are her husband; two sons, Walter and Paul; one daughter, Laura (Mrs. E. KRAMER) of Britt. One brother, Arthur SCHEFFELMAN, of Corwith, as well as other relatives are left to mourn.

Services were conducted from the 1st Lutheran church in Britt, Iowa, Saturday afternoon, at two o'clock with the Rev. John Mohr in charge. Interment was made at the Magor Township Cemetery.
