Grace Wooge

Forest City- Mrs. William (Grace) Wooge,79, of Forest City, died Thursday (April 19, 1984)
at a Forest City nursing home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Upper Flat Evangelical Free Church, north of Britt. The Rev. Jess Tarp, church pastor, and the Rev. James N. Louk, pastor of the Forest City United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery, Forest City.

Visitation is after 2 this afternoon at Peterson Funeral Home, Forest City.

Mrs. Wooge was born August 12, 1904 in Kanawha to Austin and Johanna (Kambo) Hefte. She married William F. Wooge on Nov. 11, 1925, and they farmed near Forest City for many years.

He died in 1967 and a few years later she moved to Forest City.

Survivors include two sons, Galen Wooge, Forest City and Lt. Col. Retired LuVern J. Wooge, Indian Head, MD; four daughters, Mrs. Allen (Arlene) Baker, Forest City; Mrs. Dean (Darlene) Nelson, Amherst, Wis.; Mrs. Richard B. (Wilma) Thompson, Forest City, and Betty Lou Mallory, Barstow, Calif.

Also, four sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Adelaide) Fox, Britt; Mrs. Calbert (Hazel) Mitchell, Okoboji; Mrs. Leroy (Irene) Hanson, Centralia, Mo., and Mrs. Orville (Austinette) Nehus, Windom, Minn.; four brothers, Arnold Hefte, Boone; Rudolph Hefte, Britt; Kenneth Hefte, Billings, Mo., and Vern Hefte, Menlo Park, Calif., along with 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
