Carrie Pringnitz, 93, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Belmond Care Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ with Pastor Donna Buckman officiating. Music was provided by Lynette Nuerhing, organist; Marilyn Janssen, vocalist. Ushers were Harley Nuehring, Beth Schmidt, and Gladys Wessels. Casket bearers were Duane Pringnitz, Dick Gilpin, Gene Albers, Bob Sindt, Larry Wise, and Jim Engelkes. Interment was at Ell Township Cemetery near Klemme.

Carrie Albers, daughter of George and Ewawina (Wientjes) Albers, was born February 4, 1907 on the family farm near Klemme. She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Reformed Church in Klemme. She was one of ten children, and attended rural school through the eighth grade. She then worked on the farm and helped raise her siblings. Carrie married Frederick A. Pringnitz on March 27, 1941, and they moved to a farm west of Klemme. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking bread; she also helped her husband on the farm. After Fred's death in 1967, Carrie moved to Klemme; she entered the Belmond Health Care Center in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; four brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her twin sister, Winnie Buss of Klemme; brother Lubbe Albers of Clear Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
