KANAWHA -- John M. Eekhoff, 74, of Kanawha, died Wednesday (June 18, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. G. David Daley officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home.

John M. Eekhoff was born March 28, 1923, at Wellsburg. Survivors include his wife, Viola Eekhoff, Kanawha; one daughter, Holly Lang, Kanawha; two sons, Kevin Eekhoff of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Vern Eekhoff of Sanborn; 16 grandchildren; one sister; and five brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and one grandson.
