PEORIA -- Cleo P. Francis, 76, of Britt, Iowa, formerly of Peoria, died Sunday, March 27, 1994, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Born June 21, 1917, in Kanawha, Iowa, to Lester and Lola Nicholas Davis, she married Donald Francis on May 6, 1935, in Britt. He died March 30, 1993. One infant sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, Dalton of Eden Prairie, Minn., William of Ellenton, Fla., Jim of Faribault, Minn., and John of Britt; five sisters, Florence Worsfold and Mary Ann King, both of Chillicothe, Ruth Simmons of Florida, Doris Huffman of Kewanee and Betty Schaer of Peoria Heights; three brothers, Kenny, Robert and Walt Davis, all of Peoria; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a bookkeeper in Iowa and Peoria. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ewing Funeral Home in Britt, where visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.
