Edna Catherine Larson, the daughter of A.B. and Susie Shauver Trueblood, was born on August 28, 1916 at Webster City. She grew up in the family home in Hamilton, Webster and Wright Counties of Iowa. She was united in marriage with Lawrence Larson of Feb 14, 1942 at Galt, and to this union were born 10 children. The family lived and farmed in Hancock County, south of Hutchins for many years and in 1961, the family moved to Britt. In January of 1966, Mr. Larson died. Edna continued to live in Britt until 1976, when she moved to Eagle Grove to live with her daughter. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove.
She died on Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 1984, at the Dows Care Center in Dows, where she had been a resident a few days, at the age of 68 years and 11 days.

She is survived by three daughters and four sons; Robert (Bob) Larson of Webster City; William (Bill) Larson of Eagle Grove; Betty Jeanne (Mrs. Roy) Hanshaw of Eagle Grove; Harry Larson of Charleston, S.C., Ruth (Mrs. Leonard) Zrostlik of Forest City; Paul Larson of Eagle Grove; Laura (Mrs. Scott) Zimmerman of Joice; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle (Mrs. Eldridge) Hammitt of Duncombe; three brothers, Paul Trueblood of Lehigh; Ralph Trueblood and Sam Trueblood, both of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three children, a son, Raymond; infant twins, Jerry and Jenny; and a brother, Durward.

Funeral services for Edna C. Larson, 68, of Eagle Grove and formerly of Britt, were held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1984 at 10:30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove, Rev. Fr. John Hemann of Cedar Rapids was the officiant and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Scripture services were held on Tuesday evening at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Pallbearers were Gary Trueblood of Lehigh; Dick Trueblood of Webster City; Walter Hammitt of Blairsburg; Carroll Widen of Harcourt; Joe Wakeman of Lehigh, and Dale Hammitt of Webster City. Honorary pallbearers were Dan Day of Britt; Kim Norland of Storm Lake; Doug Pinkele of Eagle Grove, and David Norland of Algona. A duet was sung by Kevin and Sherry Sandstrom of Harcourt.
