GARNER — Eileen L. Trager, 65, died Monday (Jan. 18, 1999) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kay Hooper officiating. Interment will be at Amsterdam Township Cemetery, Goodell. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Eileen Lorraine Trager, the daughter of Ira W. and Wava O. (Wilson) Langlitz, was born July 24, 1933, at Goodell. She attended school at Goodell and graduated from Goodell High School in 1951. After graduating from Hamilton Business College, Mason City, she worked in Clarion for the Wright County Auditor. Her next bookkeeping position was with General Mills in Belmond. On June 10, 1956, she was married to Myron Trager at the United Methodist Church, Goodell. In 1961 she took a job in Goodell working with the very first We 3 Grocery Store. In 1965 the family moved to Minneapolis. In 1969 the family moved to Garner and Eileen went to work for ARCO Fertilizer in Goodell. On Feb. 2, 1972, she began working at the Farmer's Cooperative Society in Garner until retiring on June 30, 1995. Eileen enjoyed her family, bowling and singing. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, where she was treasurer, chairman of the Rebecca Circle and sang in the church choir. She was a charter member of the Wa-Tan-Ye and held every office since the club's formation in 1977. She also was a member of Sweet Adelines.

She is survived by her children, Becky Tvedt and her husband, Jan, and their children, Taylor and Tannyn, of Britt. and Stacey Trager and her son, Michael, of Britt; her parents, Ira and Wava Langlitz, of Goodell; three brothers, Larry Langlitz and his wife, Gail, of Goodell, Kenneth Langlitz of Goodell, and William Langlitz and his wife, Sherry, of Garner; an uncle, Forrest Langlitz, of Klemme; a sister-in-law, Karen Bach and her husband, Max, of Gilman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and all of their families. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Myron G. Trager, Jan. 21, 1990, and an infant son, John Ira Trager.
