John D. "Jack" Burnett, 74, of Belmond, formerly of Goodell and Meservey, died Tuesday (March 18, 1997) at home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church, with the Rev. Pat Kennedy officiating. Burial will
be in Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell, with military rites by the Goodell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dugger-Ewing Funeral Home, 111 S. Luick Lane S., and one hour prior to services at the church.

John Burnett was born July 30, 1922, in Goldfield. Survivors include two sisters, Evaleen Walker of Lancaster, Calif., and Delores Christman, of Lake Lake, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents.
