Mrs. Osten Solberg*
Mrs. Osten Solberg* was born Jan. 15, 1856, on Stjerner Oen, Norway. Her parents were Jens and Jorgine Jorstad. The family came to America in the spring of 1859 to Leland, Ill.

Mrs. Solberg came to Story City just before Christmas to help care for her son, Ben and his family during the influenza epidemic. She leaves her husband and two boys, Ben, of Story City, and Clarence at home; also two daughters, Mrs. Holver Soppeland of Eagle Grove, and Olive at home.
Mrs. Solberg was a pious Christian woman of rare qualities, very kind and gentle. It seemed to be her delight to serve her neighbors. She passed away as she live, in close communion with her Lord and Savior.
The remains were brought to Eagle Grove and laid to rest in the city cemetery on Tuesday, December 24th.
