Dallas Steenblock, 73, died July 13, 2022 at his home in Storm Lake. Services were held July 20 in Storm Lake. Dallas was born June 24, 1949 in Belmond to Ronald and Ruth Meyer Steenblock. He graduated from Belmond High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He married Ronda Dee Mansfield in 1980 in Storm Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Harold; and sisters Connie, Deb and Gladys. He is survived by his wife; children Brandon and Amy; brothers Ronnie, Dennis, Doug, Greg and Randy; and sisters Sandra Suntken, Marian Buseman and Cindy Juhlin.

Dallas D. Steenblock, age 73, of Storm Lake, Iowa died July 13, 2022 at his home in Storm Lake.

A Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Dallas Duane Steenblock was born on June 24, 1949 to Ronald and Ruth (Meyer) Steenblock in Belmond, Iowa. He graduated from Belmond High School and attended college at NIACC and Buena Vista University. Dallas entered the United States Marines on May 15, 1969 and served until his discharge on October 19, 1970. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and Rifle Marksmanship Badge.

Dallas married Ronda Dee (Mansfield) Steenblock on February 23, 1980 at the First Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Dallas was an avid sports fan. You could find him with a cold Budweiser in hand, cheering on his favorite teams: the Greenbay Packers and New York Yankees. He enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, weightlifting, fishing, and reading. He treasured his time with friends and family. Dallas was his grandchildren’s biggest fan, and you could find him in the crowd at all their sporting events. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dallas’s memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Ronda Steenblock of Storm Lake, Iowa; children: Brandon (Karla) Ruffridge of Pocahontas, Iowa; Amy (Todd) Huffman of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers: Ronnie; Dennis; Doug; Greg; Randy; sisters: Sandra (Fred) Suntken; Marion (Kevin) Buseman; Cindy Juhlin; grandchildren: Elle, Shea, and Tyce Ruffridge; Jack, Mia, and Ava Huffman; brothers-in-law: Monte (Cheryl) Mansfield; Jeff Mansfield; sister-in-law: Nancy (Royce) Knudtson; extended family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ronald and Ruth Steenblock; brother: Herald Steenblock; sisters: Connie, Deb, and Gladys.
