Albert Carl Williams
September 6, 1876 --- April 14, 1935

Albert Carl Williams was born in Bode, Iowa, Sept. 6, 1876, and died at his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, following a brief illness, April 14, 1935 at the age of 58 years, 7 months and 12 days. He was the son of Peter and Celia Gullixson Williams. He was baptized in the Lutheran church at Bode and later confirmed in the same church. He attended school there and later the Valder Business College in Decorah.

He was united in marriage to Merla May Campbell in 1908. She preceded him in death 11 years ago this month. On August 24, 1926, he was united in marriage to Miss Emma Walden, who is left together with his children, James Williams of Goldfield and Mrs. Vandatta Labus of Goldfield. Mrs. Genevieve Clark of Holmes, Mrs. Alberta Oldham of Clarion and Merla May Williams at home, besides five grandchildren, to mourn his death. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Hanson of Fort Dodge, and by two brothers, Willie G. of Bode and Anton G. of Pasadena, Calif., and by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Williams was for several years affiliated with sugar-beet work, employed by plants at Belmond, Mason City, Waverly, Iowa, and Green Bay, Wis. For the past fifteen years he has taken care of cream routes for the Kanawha creamery. Mr. Williams was of a retiring disposition, but made friends and kept them. Many of these friends will miss him.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, April 16, from the Wilson Funeral Chapel in Eagle Grove, with burial in the family lot in the Goldfield cemetery, Rev. T. J. Severtson in charge of the services.

Albert Carl Williams, 58, died at his home in Eagle Grove on Sunday, April 14 following a brief illness. Mr. Williams was a resident at Goldfield until recently when he and his family moved to Eagle Grove to make their home. He has been employed by the Kanawha Cooperative Creamery the past fifteen years, operating a cream truck in that territory.

He is survived by his widow and five children as follows: James Williams and Mrs. Vandatta Labus of Goldfield, Mrs. Genevieve Clarke of Holmes, Mrs. Alberta Oldham of Clarion and Miss Merla May Williams at home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Hanson of Fort Dodge and two brothers Willie G., of Bode and Anton G. of Pasadena, Calif.

Funeral services were held at the Wilson Funeral Home at Eagle Grove on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. T. J. Severtson in charge. Burial was made in the family lot at Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield.
