Sylvia Jean Westberg, 52, Woolstock, died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at her home. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial was in the French Cemetery, east of Woolstock. Visitation was held Sunday night from 5-9 p.m. and prior to the service on Monday.

Sylvia Jean Halterman, daughter of William and Dorothy Lessley Halterman, was born August 22, 1949 at Creston. She graduated from Humboldt High School. On Nov. 26, 1967 she married Wayne Eugene Westberg at Gilmore City. The couple resided at Humboldt, Rutland and Webster City and in 1989 moved to Woolstock. In Webster City, she had worked at the Ben Franklin Store and at Dollar General. At Woolstock, she worked at Broshar Implement.

Mrs. Westberg is survived by her husband, Wayne, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sheri Westberg, Ellsworth; daughters, Jeanie Westberg of Marble, Minn., Christina Westberg of Webster City, grandchildren Locklind, Lacey and Brooke Westberg, father, William Halterman of LaSalle, Ill., brother Duane Halterman of Clare, sister, Deb King of Streator, Ill., several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother.
