Steven Sharkey, 21, Webster City, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at his home. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral home with Rev. Bill Ballard officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service time on Thursday.

Steven Paul Sharkey, son of James and Pamela Kepler Sharkey, was born April 27, 1980 at Webster City. He attended Webster City schools and graduated in 1998. On Sept. 25, 1999 he married Tina G. Ganzeveld at Webster City. He had been employed at Arrow-Acme as a Utility Worker.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; son Nicholas Sharkey, daughter Dakota Sharkey, both at home; his parents James and Pamela Sharkey, Webster City; brother David Sharkey and special friend, Misty Frye, of Webster City; grandmothers Pat Kepler and Zada Sharkey, both of Webster City, mother-in-law, Kristy Chapman of Eagle Grove; sisters-in-law, Talia and Kayla Chapman, both of Clarion, Mercede Ganzeveld of Woolstock, Jennifer Bromley, Kaitlin and Kimberly Hiltabidle, all of Eagle Grove; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Virgil Sharkey and Don Kepler.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local #442.
