Mary Ruth White Keeling
22 July 1888 ---- 13 June 1967

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, June 16, 1967 at the Methodist church for Mrs. Mary Keeling, who passed away Tuesday evening, June 13 at the Clarion Hospital at the age of 78 years. Rev. Carl O. Jensen officiated. Interment was in the Clarion Evergreen Cemetery with the Eyler Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Mel Roble, Leslie Stevens, Kenneth Hardy, Eldo Nichols, Duane Rohrback and Roe Armour. Mrs. Pete Rodriguez was soloist and was accompanied by Mrs. Paul Loomis, organist.

Mary Ruth White was born July 22, 1888 to Frank and Alice White at Varna, Illinois. Between 1899 and 1902 the Frank White family moved to a farm in Wright County. On December 20, 1906 Mary was united in marriage to William Keeling. To this union 6 children were born. Mrs. Sylvia LaBounty of Clarion, Orie and Clarence of Clarion, Melvin of Tucson, Arizona, Clifford of Aldrlch, Minn., Mrs. Lila Terry of Clarion.

William and Mary spent the greatest portion of their married life farming in Wright County. On December 1945 they moved to Clarion where Mary resided until her death. She was a member of the Methodist church, also a member of the V. F. W., Navy Mothers and Rebekah lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Arthur, one sister, Ellen. She is survived by her husband, six children, eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, four sisters and four brothers. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
