William Thomas Keeling
19 September 1885 ---- 3 July 1973

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 5 for William T. Keeling, 87, of Clarion, who passed away June 3 at the Clarion Heritage Home.

William Thomas Keeling, son of Mary and Edward Keeling was born near Bradford in Franklin County Sept. 19, 1885. When he was a small boy, his parents moved to the farm in Pike's Timber near Clarion. He grew up and attended rural school in Wright County. He was united in marriage to Mary Ruth White on December 20, 1906 in the Methodist church in Clarion. Part of their married life was spent farming around Clarion. In 1913 they moved to Clear Lake, Minn. and lived there four years. Then they moved back to Wright county. In 1940 they moved to Niangua, Missouri for 5-1/2 years, then to Clarion to their present location.

Mr. Keeling started working at Robie's Super Value store and worked there for 25 years until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June 13, 1967, his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his six children: Mrs. Sylvia LaBounty, Mrs. Tom (Lila) Terry, Orie and Clarence, all of Clarion, Melvin of Tucson, Arizona and Clifford of Aldrich, Minn. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 18 great grand children and two great great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Mable Morris and Mrs. Bertha Cooper, both of Clarion, one brother, John, of Waterloo, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
