Jack P. Howell, age 81, passed away February 14, 2010, at his home. Jack was born July 7, 1928, in Gowrie, Iowa, to the late Lonnie and Vera (McDonald) Howell.

Jack was preceded in death by his grandsons, Billy Howell and Brody Jack Walker; brothers, Lonnie Howell, Jr., and Bob Howell. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife, Susan Howell; children, Kirk and Jill Walker, James and Tabby Walker, Nathan and Kendra Walker, Jackie (Tim Gress) Howell, and Julie Howell; grandsons, Wyatt Walker, Ezra Shaffer, Anthony Gress, Jacob Howell, Jaxson Walker; granddaughters, Tristin Howell, Amber Howell, Kiylea Walker and Sydney Walker; brothers, Don "Dixie" and Phyllis Howell and Lynn Howell; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Graveside service of cremated remains will be held 10 a.m., Monday, at Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Rainbow Post #2. Memorials to the family.
