Margaret Pauline Berscheid Toillion
January 30, 1866 — December 18, 1932

Mrs. Charles Toillion died at the O'Toole-Christensen hospital Sunday afternoon after a lingering illness of several years. Funeral services took place Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart church and interment was in Calvary cemetery.

Margaret Berscheid was born at Mendota, Illinois, on Jan. 30, 1866. She was united in marriage to Charles Toillion on Sept. 23, 1886 [1888]. To this union five children were born, Clarence, deceased, Jack, Harley and Charles, Jr., of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. A. E. Morrison of Luverne, Iowa. She also provided a home for and raised her grandson, Clarence Toillion, Jr. Her husband survives and also the following brothers and sisters: Matt Berscheid, Dr. F. G. Berscheid of Chicago Heights, Ill., Mrs. Matt Lambesty, Kewanee, Ill., Mrs. Howard Hewitt, Wyanet, Ill., Mrs. Frank Eisenbacher, Morgan, Minn., Mrs. Herman Lehr, Jacksonville, Ill. She was a member of Sacred Heart church of Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Those attending from out of town were Mrs. Julius Poss, Ashton, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Ignaz Eisenbacker and family, Wesley, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Len Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Merriam, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Chambers, Mrs. Amy Williams, Mrs. Jas. Williams, Mrs. Lee Cole all of Corwith and Mrs. Burlingame of Algona.

Mrs. Toillion has been practically bed-ridden for the past six years and when her condition became very serious a few weeks ago she was taken to the O'Toole-Christensen hospital where she might have better care. She was an ideal home maker, largely centering her interests in her family and those nearest her. The Eagle extends its sincerest sympathy to the bereaved family in the hour of its greatest possible sorrow.
