Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Rink, 70, of Lenox were held Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Larkin & Shelley Funeral Home in Lenox. Officiating was Rev. Peter Brantner, pastor. Casket bearers were Mike Brown, Dan Hancock, Doug Horton, John Borland, Kenneth McFee and Dan Carruthers. Music was provided by Charlie Rink, vocalist. Interment was in North Fairview Cemetery of Lenox. Memorials to the family.

Mary, the daughter of Rollie E. and Ethel Mabel Rose Brammer, was born on August 21, 1923, in Creston, Iowa. She died on Sept. 25, 1993, at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston at the age of 70 years, one month and four days.

Mary was born in Creston, where she was raised and attended school. On Jan. 1, 1946, she was united in marriage with Raymond E. Rink. This union was blessed with 10 children: Bartel, Don, Ron, Charlie, Margaret and Rolla as well as two sets of twins who died at birth.

Mary spent 25 years working in a nursing home.

Surviving to honor her memory is her very special friend and common husband, Wayne McFee of Lenox; five sons, Bartel (wife Vaola) Rink of Lamar, Colo.; Don (wife Denise) Rink of Winterset; Ron (wife Nancy) Rink of Hudson, S.D.; Charlie (wife Loan) Rink of Winterset; and Rolla Rink of Eustic. Fla.; a daughter Margaret Hitchcock of Lenox; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Dick (wife Evelyn) Brammer of Sharpsburg and Joe Brammer of Sharpsburg. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Raymond and two sets of twins; Kenny and Katherine, Richard and Robert.
