Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys M. Sadler, 69, were held Monday afternoon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor H. W. Schiller officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Sadler died Friday morning at her home. She had been ill previously for some time.

She is survived by one son Merle of Boone, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Arthur Tesdahl of Eagle Grove.

Obituary

Gladys Mathilda Tesdahl was born in Eagle Grove on October 30, 1902 to Iver and Anna Tesdahl. She was baptized on December 25, 1902, Rev. O. R. Sletten officiating. On August 27, 1916 she renewed her baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. The pastor officiating was Rev. H. A. Okdale. She died at her home in Eagle Grove on May 5, 1972 after reaching the age of 69 years, 6 months and 6 days.

Gladys was educated and graduated from the Eagle Grove school. On Feb. 6, 1922 she was united in marriage to Charles Sadler. Following their marriage, they made their home in Eagle Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on Sept. 19, 1971; her parents; brothers: Andrew, Henry, Chris, Willie and Louis; sisters: Bertha Lilleskau and Alma. Those who mourn her departure are: her son, Merle Sadler of Boone, 1 brother, Arthur Tesdahl, Eagle Grove; five grandchildren and one great grandson.
