Mrs. Peter (Esther) Lund was born December 2, 1914 at Hardy, the daughter of George and Lucinda Smith Rhiner. She graduated from Goldfield High School in 1932. She was married to Peter Lund on March 14, 1936 at Kamrar. After their marriage they farmed at Renwick and then four years at Goldfield. They had lived at their present home on route one, Clarion, since 1947.

Mrs. Lund was a member of the First Lutheran Church and her church circle.

She died at the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion, Wednesday morning, March 28, 1984.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Gary D. Lund of Clarion; a daughter, Susan K. Duffee of Boone; four grandsons; two sisters; Mrs. Norma Brown of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Erma Nelson of Lodi, Calif.; and a brother, George Rhiner, Jr. of Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Services for Mrs. Peter (Esther) Lund, 69, of Clarion, were held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Granger officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. The Eyler-Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
