Leander Tompkins Parker
4 August 1861 ---- 14 April 1936

Funeral services for Leander T. Parker, veteran Eagle Grove druggist, who died Tuesday after a lingering illness, were held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Kubitschek & Kastler funeral home with the Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating.

Mr. Parker was born in Cass County, Mich., Aug. 4, 1861, and except for three years spent in California had lived most of his life here. He had been in the drug business 40 years, 35 years for himself.

He leaves one son, Donald Parker a science teacher in a Los Angeles high school, who was unable to attend the funeral. Mrs. Parker and another son, Lee, preceded him in death. He also leaves three sisters and five grandchildren. One of the sisters, Mrs. L. A. Hotchkiss, lives in Lake City.

Mr. Parker had been ill several months and confined to his bed the last six weeks.

The funeral was held at the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home on Thursday, April 18. Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn officiating. Beautiful duets were sung by Mrs. Fannie Cotton and Mrs. Vina Ball. R. C. Blue. conducted the Masonic service. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery.
