Robert Reekie
1 February 1950 ---- 12 August 1984

Robert Reekie was born Feb. 1, 1950 at St. Andrews, Scotland, the son of Robert and Violet Shanks Reekie. He came to America Jan. 3, 1954, attended school in Waukegan, Ill. and completed two years of college. Robert was employed as a truck driver for the past nine years with The Ace Trucklines, Des Moines. Prior to this employment, he drove for Ellsworth Freight Lines and Umthun Trucking Co. both of Eagle Grove, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Pamela Koob Fisher of Eagle Grove, on Oct. 3, 1980, at Goldfield, Iowa, and they have made their home in Eagle Grove since that time.

Robert died of a brain tumor at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, on Sunday, Aug. 12, at the age of 34 years, six months and 11 days.

He is survived by his wife, and two stepsons, Justin Paul and Robbie James Fisher, of Eagle Grove, his mother and sister, Violet (Mrs. Ty) Armstrong of Savannah, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services were held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove on Monday, Aug. 20 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Paul Schaedig officiated and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
