Funeral services for Mary Ann Kiley, 64, of Corwith were at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Renwick on Dec. 17, 2001. Mrs. Kiley died at her Corwith home on Dec. 14, 2001. Her burial was at the Glenwood Cemetery of Goldfield.

Mary Ann Nelson, the daughter of Erling and Cecelia (Michelson) Nelson, as born on a farm near Goldfield. As a child, she moved with her family to Dakota City where she attended school. In 1955, she graduated from Humboldt High School. She married Leonard Kiley on March 11, 1956 at the First Lutheran Church in Humboldt. The couple made their home on a farm near Renwick for two years until moving to Lime Springs. In 1962, they moved to a farm near Corwith. In 1986, they moved to the Kiley family farm.

Mrs. Kiley is a past employee of the LuVerne Lanes Bowling Alley and Al’s Restaurant at Wesley. She has been an employee of HyVee Food Store in Algona for the past 15 years, attaining the position of Assistant Shift Manager. She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Renwick and the LuVerne American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to cook for her family, making everyone’s favorites.

Mrs. Kiley is survived by her husband Leonard of Corwith, her seven children and their spouses - Cindy and Mark Wanken of Norwalk, Denise and Mike Harvey of Buckingham, Dennis Kiley and his friend Jean Miller of Corwith, Pam and Danny Zeigler of Dysart, Marva and Jim Anderson of Humboldt, Stormy and Steve Smothers of Manson, and T. J. and Angie Clarken of Plainfield, IL, her 15 grandchildren - Mindy Elliot, DeLana Wanken, Jennifer Friedow, Heather Harvey, Nikki Kiley, Chad Kiley, Jaime Zeigler, Brady Anderson, Brooke Anderson, Caleb Smothers, Katie Smothers, Cole Smothers, Noah Clarken, Emily Miller and Sarah Miller; a sister - Peggy Brady; a brother - Irvin Nelson, and her mother-in-law Mrs. Ernie M. Kiley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
