Scott T. Oleson, 41, of Mason City, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his home in Mason City.

Memorial services for Scott Oleson will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Dows Community Center, 119 East Ellsworth Street in Dows. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural Dows. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Dows Community Center.

Scott Thomas, son of Dennis and Linda (Eisenbacher) Oleson, was born on June 25, 1980 in Hampton. Scott grew up in rural Dows and graduated from CAL High School in 1999. Following high school, Scott attended Ellsworth Community College.

Scott worked at the hardware store in Hampton for a while before moving to Mason City in 2012 where he started working at Menard’s. Scott loved watching sports, especially the Chicago Bears. He collected toy tractors and caps. He enjoyed showing hogs and going fishing and bowling.

Scott is survived by his parents Dennis and Linda Oleson of rural Dows and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Russel and Viola Oleson, Dorothy Eisenbacher, and Vince (Evelyn) Eisenbacher; uncle Richard (Jean) Paganini; aunt Judy Jeppesen; aunt Flo Dahl; uncle Ivan Oleson; and aunt Deanna Fahrmann.
