Eleanor Anne Schwidder Guy
25 June 1939 --- 20 April 2018

Eleanor A. Guy died peacefully, on Friday, 20 April 2018, at the home of her daughter's in Lu Verne. She was 78. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, 24 Apr 2018 at 6 PM, at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Lu Verne. Inurnment will follow at the Lu Verne Cemetery. Her family will greet friends from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home in Lu Verne.

Eleanor Anne Guy was born 25 Jun 1939, in Estherville. She worked as a Medical Aid at the Kanawha Nursing Home for 15 years, and then the Britt Hospital for 7 years. Eleanor owned and operated Grandma's Place in Lu Verne from 1984 until 1987. She enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. Eleanor attended the Lu Verne United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three children, Robin Guy of Lu Verne, Judy Guy of Renwick, and Brian Guy of Milford; two grandchildren, Nathan Reefer and Dillon Mueller; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters, Marge Howard and Linda Swidder both of Estherville. She was preceded in death by two sons, Scott "Doc" Guy, and Dennis Guy.
