ILENE MAE ROBERTSON
Ilene Mae Bailey was born in Marshalltown on July 12, 1921 to Ray and Elma Paulson Bailey. She lived in Marshalltown until May of 1930 when the family moved to Eagle Grove. Ilene attended school in Eagle Grove graduating in 1940. She attended Cedar Falls Teachers College, and taught in rural schools in Dows, Eagle Grove, and Webster City.

Ilene married Thomas Robertson of Belmond on June 6, 1942 at Chariton. They lived in various towns until moving to California in 1974.

Ilene Mae Bailey Robertson died in Paramount, Calif., January 31, 1989 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her father, Ray; and her brother, William (Bill) Bailey; She is survived by her mother, Elma Crose, Eagle Grove; three sisters; Nina Knight, (Fort Dodge); Mrs. Floyd (Bertha) Heim, Humboldt; and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie "Tudy") Cobb, Muscatine; seven children, Donna Smith, Moreno Valley, Calif.; Arthur Robertson, Sharleen Martin, Barbara Stephens, Mark Robertson, Paramount, Calif.; Richard and Jack Robertson; Riverside, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 4, 1989 and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Whittier, Calif.
