Cleo M. (Carson) ANDERSON

Cleo Marie Anderson
Cleo Marie Carson was born on December 19, 1898, the daughter of John W. and Ida A. Warner Carson, at Yale, Iowa. She received her education in Yale country schools.

She was united in marriage to Millard Hans Anderson of Goldfield, October 29, 1919 at Des Moines. They lived in Des Moines, Boone, and Herndon. The couple then moved to Eagle Grove in 1957 following Mr. Anderson's retirement. He died in 1966. Cleo continued living at their Eagle Grove home until 1982 when she moved to the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove.

Cleo Marie Anderson died Sunday, February 12, 1989 at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home, at the age of 90 years, one month, and 23 days. She had suffered a stroke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one son, Dwight; three brothers, Orville, Ray, and Earl; two sisters, Fonnie Stanley and Elsie Schwaderer. She is survived by two sisters, Ethyl Ecklin, Boerne, Texas; and Lavina Eason, Yuma, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 15 at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
