Roy Vernon Jeppson
6 November 1916 --- 20 January 1983

Roy Vernon Jeppson, the son of John and Jessena Jensen Jeppson, was born on November 6, 1916, at Goldfield, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in that area and it was in the schools of Goldfield and Eagle Grove that he received his early education. Roy was married to Madora Arlene Johnson on June 22, 1941 in Eagle Grove. They made their home in Goldfield and later San Diego, Calif. before moving to Spencer in 1945. Roy has owned and operated the Roma Glass and Awning Company in Spencer. He was a member of Hope Reformed Church and a former president of the Spencer Flying Club.

Mr. Jeppson passed away at St. Luke Hospital in Sioux City on January 20, 1983, at the age of 66 years, two months and 14 days. He was preceded in death by his father in 1950. He is survived by his wife, Madora of Spencer; his mother, Mrs. Jessena Jeppson of Spencer.

Funeral services for Roy V. Jeppson of Spencer and former Goldfield and Eagle Grove area resident were held on Saturday, January 22, 1983 at 9:30 a.m. at the Warner Funeral Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Albert Moss officiated and the burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove at 1 p.m.
