Richard Lee Snyder
September 30, 1954 ---- August 14, 1980

Richard Lee (Rick) Snyder, was born at Creston, Iowa, on September 30, 1954, the son of Carl W. Jr. and Bonnie E. Cobb Snyder. He died early Thursday morning, August 14, 1980, near Rothsay, Minn., of injuries received in a semi-truck accident. He attained the age of 25 years, 10 months and 14 days. He attended school and graduated from the Goldfield Community High School with the class of 1972. He was employed by Don Sorenson for a few years. He also worked for the M & M Company, the A.D.S. Company in Eagle Grove and for the past few months, he had been driving truck for Byron Skadburg.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Bonnie Snyder of Goldfield; a sister, Mary, Mrs. Norman Breyer of Plattsmouth, Neb.; his brothers, Dennis R. of Avoca, Iowa, Garry D., Timothy and Thomas, all of Goldfield; his grandmother, Mrs. Bruce (Pearl) Cobb of Savannah, Mo.; his step-grandmother, Mrs. Carl (Ida) Snyder, Sr. of Corning, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers, and his paternal grandmother.

Funeral services for Richard L. Snyder, were held on Monday, August 18 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Goldfield. Rev. Lester Hancock officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home Eagle Grove.
