Funeral services for Mrs. Francis Jones were held Friday afternoon in the United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marion Blake officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones died July 4 in the Humboldt Memorial Hospital, at the age of 55. She bad been ill for many years.

She is survived by her husband, one son LeRoy and one daughter Mrs. Ed Baseman [Hassman] of Sperry in her immediate family.

Obituary

Clarabelle Jones, daughter of Samuel D. and Clara Gibson Kennedy, was born near Goldfield, Iowa on August 16, 1917. At an early age she joined the United Presbyterian Church of Goldfield and remained a faithful member all her life.

She attended the local schools, graduating from Goldfield High School in 1934.

On January 15, 1937 she was united in marriage with Francis Jones in Humboldt by her brother, Rev. J. M. Kennedy. To this union two children were born, Larry and Wanda.

Clarabelle passed away early Wednesday morning, July 4, in the Humboldt Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 55 years, ten months and 18 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband; son, LeRoy, at home; daughter (Wanda) Mrs. Ed Hassman of Sperry; two brothers, Everett Kennedy of Wadena, Minn.; and Gerald Kennedy of Humboldt; one sister, Mrs. Jean McGowen of Ottumwa; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield, with Rev. Marion Blake officiating. Interment was held in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. –Goldfield Chronicle.
