Carl Johan Larson
13 March 1930 --- 14 December 1995

Carl J. Larson was born March 13, 1930 in the family home near Thor, Iowa. He attended country schools in Humboldt and Wright Counties and also in Eagle Grove. He finished High School while in the service and received his diploma from Eagle Grove High School. He married Francis Arlene Foster on June 30, 1951, in Melbeta, Nebraska. In September, 1951, he entered the Army and was stationed in New Jersey and Alabama. When his military obligation was over, he worked for TV stations in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Sterling, Colorado, Pullman, Washington, and Casper, Wyoming.

Carl J. Larson, Casper, Wyoming, died on Thursday, December 14, 1995, at his home after a long illness with cancer.

Survivors include his wife, Francis Arlene, Casper, Wyoming; son Randy Larson and wife, Karen, Boise, Idaho; daughter, Dense Wigand and husband Peter, Reno, Nevada; four grandchildren; 2 brothers, Martin J. Larson and wife Marjorie, Eagle Grove, Bjarne Larson and wife Martha, La Mirada, Calif., 3 sisters, Katinka Fevold and husband, Leo, Goldfield, Agnes Nargang and husband Don, New Hampton, and Julia Larson, Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Torvald and Clara Larson and one brother, Harold Larson.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 19, 1995 at 2 p.m. at Methodist church in Casper,
Wyoming. Burial was in Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Casper, [Evanston] Wyoming.
