Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon for George A. Campbell, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Percy Brink near Renwick. Mr. Campbell resided here for a number of years and was well known in this community. The services were conducted by Rev. R. M. McCracken and burial at the Glenwood cemetery.

Obituary

George A. Campbell was born in Westwood, Canada, May 29, 1861. At the age of four years, he came with his parents to Tama county, Iowa, where he made his home for about 29 years. At the age of 29 years, he joined the Tranquility country church at Traer, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Emma Nolder, Dec. 23, 1889. To this union were born four children, all of whom are living. In 1891 he moved to a farm west of Goldfield, later moving into Goldfield.

On Jan. 6, 1913, he suffered a paralytic stroke from which he never fully recovered. He passed away early Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Percy Brink at the age of 71 years, five months and 29 days.

Besides a host of relatives and friends, he leaves his wife, four children, Harry W. of Des Moines, Mrs. Percy Brink and Mrs. Alvin Engstrom of Renwick and George S. of Kanawha; five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Wilse [Wilson] Belknap, Palacios, Texas, Mrs. Warner Newman and Mrs. Earl Smith of California; four brothers, Jim of California, Fred and Rob of Seattle, Wash., and John of Fairmont, Minn. –Goldfield Section.

Goldfield, Iowa, Nov. 30—George A. Campbell, seventy-one years old, who made his home until several years ago here, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Percy Brink, five miles north ot Renwick, early Sunday morning. Mr. Campbell had been an invalid for nearly twenty years, having suffered a paralytic stroke in 1913 from which he never fully recovered.

Funeral services were held at the U. P. church at Goldfield on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. R. M. McCracken in charge. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.

Mr. Campbell was born in Westwood, Canada, in 1861, coming with his parents when four years of age, to Tama county where he lived for about twenty-nine years. He was united in marriage with Emma Nolder in 1889 and to this union four children were born.

He leaves his widow and all four children who are Harry W. of Des Moines, Mrs. Percy Brink and Mrs. Alvin Engstrom of Renwick and George S. of Kanawha. He also leaves five grandchildren and three sisters and four brothers.
