Gaylord Leroy Larson, son of Emmanuel and his wife Caroline Larson, was born February 1, 1933, at Eagle Grove. Iowa, and died at the Lutheran hospital at Fort Dodge Tuesday evening, September 19, 1939. at the age of six years, seven months and eighteen days.

He was baptized unto Christ on July 30, 1933, and thus made an heir of eternal life. He was to all appearances a well child, playfull and happy. He attended Sunday school and public school and was a joy to his parents. After a brief illness of about two weeks, he passed away from this life. His work was finished, the master sent for him to call him unto himself, to a better life in a new world.

He leaves to mourn his early death, his parents, together with his four brothers, Marvin, Irvin, Boyd and Leonard, also, one sister, Norma Larson, his grandfather, Abel Larson, together with many near relatives.

The funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Sept. 22, from the home and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
