Mrs. Emma Campbell of the Doan community died Friday at the Kossuth hospital. She had been sick for a week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Percy Brink, but was taken to the hospital when it reopened last week. Mrs. Campbell was 80 years old and for the past four years had made her home with her daughter. Prior to that she had spent much time with the Brinks.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p. m. at McCullough's chapel. The Rev. Donald James of Titonka was the minister and Mrs. Vaughn Rising sang in the Garden, and Beautiful Isle of Somewhere. Mrs. Casey Loss was accompanist.

The body was taken to Goldfield for burial in Glenwood cemetery. Pallbearers from Doan were: Fred and Brian Asa, Dale Struthers, Ross Buffington, Van and Gordon Hansen.

Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Nolder. She was born May 11, 1867, at Atlanta, Ill. She was married to George A. Campbell Dec. 23, 1889 at Traer, Iowa. They became parents of four children, three of whom survive. They are Henry A. Campbell of Des Moines, Mrs. Percy Brink of Algona and Mrs. Alvin Engstrom of Renwick. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son George of Kanawha died three years ago.

Mrs. Emma Campbell, 80, former Goldfield resident, passed away at Algona Friday evening.

Emma Nolder, oldest daughter of Stephen and Catherine Nolder, was born May 11, 1867 in Atlanta, Ill., and passed away March 5 at 10:30 p.m. of a heart ailment at the age of 80 years, nine months and 24 days. She was the last of a family of three sisters and one brother. She came, to Iowa in 1888 and settled at Traer, Iowa, where she joined the Tranquility Country church.

She was united in marriage to Geo. A. Campbell on Dec. 23, 1889. To this union was born four children.

She leaves to mourn her passing, one son, Harvey W. Campbell of Des Moines, Mrs. Percy Brink of Burt, where she made her home, and Mrs. Alvin Engstrom of Renwick; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Her husband and one son, George, Jr., preceeded her in death.

Mrs. Campbell was a devoted mother and was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Campbell in Algona on March 8. Burial was at the Glenwood cemetery in Goldfield.

Those from here attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Axon, Mrs. Fanny McElhaney, Mrs. Art Bjornson and Mrs. Frank Bjornson.
